Default Pro or con on rear spoilers

Just bought a S2000 & am looking at installing a spoiler but was wondering if this will increase the noise level or change the air flow for the passenger & driver. Saw a bunch of posts on what type to buy or not to buy but no talk on what effects the installation had.

Thanks for any comments, Pat

Really depends what spoiler you get, the factory optional spoiler is probably the one that blends the best with the shape of the car. If you want additional downforce, then getting an adjustable spoiler for your needs would be practical.

I have the OEM spoiler and I like it. I hear it actually makes a difference in high speed performance, though I can't compare it to anything else. Just make the right decision(for you) cause it would be a bitch to fill in the holes that you drilled for the first spoiler.

I would suggest that in all practical applications a spoiler will do nothing at all except effect the look of your car. That doesn't mean yu shouldn't get one, it just means you should choose one according to your tastes.

My favourite rear spoiler is the Feels Type 1. It is a low wing spoiler colour matched to the car with a carbon fibre lip on the trailing edge.

The only downside is the price. It's over $US500. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine !

Also, it uses the same mounting holes as the OEM spoiler.

I don't like how it looks naked without a spoiler

AusS2000 - who makes that rear spoiler? Very nice. I like the low profile look, specially from the back. =)
