Default Problem with site search function

Am I the only one having trouble with the search function on this site? I've been trying all day to get a response. My car is hesitating at high RPMs, and I'm certain it's a MAP sensor problem, so I'm trying to find out what it looks like and how to remove it/tap on it to see if that fixes me up. Anyone want to help me out until the search feature starts working for me again? Thanks!

Basically ever since this weekend, I get hesitation when at full throttle, passing through 6500-8000rpm. After a couple of tries it seems to clear up and the acceleration goes smooth for a while. Got real scared when it first happened, I started to think that the extended warranty might've been a good idea (my car has 39k miles on it).

Gotcha, thanks for the heads up. Ok, onto plan B!

So ... can anyone tell me where my MAP sensor is and how to get to it?

What? Look *under* my car's hood? As in actually *try* to find it before posting? Oh ok <sigh> Thanks for the help, I found it. I even noticed that there's an ENGINE in the engine bay, fancy that! Always wondered what made the car go when I stepped on the gas pedal ...

BTW, it's labelled "sensor map", not "map sensor", so nyaaa!

Now where can I find me a phillips head screwdriver ... <starts rummaging around>

Please, before posting a complaint about a feature of the website, please do a search to find out if others have had the same problem too and what they did to resolve it.

franchorchamps pa eh!!! WTF IS THAT!!!!

Do you have a DARE license plate??? I am seeing F'ing S2000's everywhere all of the sudden. Yellow, silver and silver today, white, silver, blue, etc... yesterday.....

I guess all of the S2000's are attracted to Franchorchamps.

I thought I'd need a screwdriver because I remember reading that people have removed their MAP sensor and tapped on it. Looking at the MAP sensor, it's being held in place by two screws of the phillips head type, therefore you'd need a phillips head screwdriver to remove the MAP sensor to tap on it.

I'll try just tapping it in place w/o removing it instead.

As far as gas, I primarily buy from Texaco and Chevron. Wouldn't a dirty fuel injector system affect *all* rpms, not just the high rpms? The car is smooth as silk under about 6500rpm.
