have ya done a search? I think some people might've found imperfect paint, but on the whole most people said no probs. I'd do a search however.

I've read most of the posts and noone has had leaking problems because of this. It's pretty easy to get the tape off without bothering any of the seals. You do risk having blemished paint under there. Mine was perfect though.

One thing though, we used some citrus clean stuff to take off the glue which deformed the top seal, but this was temporary and when the stuff dried and the fumes were gone the seal came back to normal (in about 6 hours).

Do a search so that you understand what the windshield tape everyone is refering to. The reason I say this is because it sounds like you are talking about the rubber seals that meet the top when its up. The tape that can be removed is on the front of the windshield frame.

I heard that if you heat the tape with a hair dryer it comes off really easily. PM christy because she just took her tape off.

no, I know what and where the tape is, I just heard of someone a while back removing it and having problems with leaking, even though it sounded unrelated.

I have had my tape off for about a year. No leaks.
