Default Product Review: TWM Shift Knob

Recently purchased a TWM knob for my car, reason i decided on it is i didn't want the traditional ball/egg shaped knob, and i liked how this one is height adjustable.

the knob uses the NTIS System which allows you to asjust the height to your liking. it's at full low in the pic, and as you can tell by the shift boot it rests against the fatter part of our shifter.

it's quite heavy, gives the shifter a nice feel, i find that the gears are "found" easier and reverse is easier to engage. the knob also feels good against your hand, i've grabbed it a few different ways depending how i'm driving (lazy, agressive, etc..) and it always feels right.

all in all, only thing i would change next time is the finish i got it in, the satin finish i got doesnt match the silver trim too well, but it goes with the handbrake release

it isnt as low as it would be if i had gotten a ball shaped one, because this one rests against the fatter part of the shifter and doesnt go down any further, but it is lower than stock. and since it comes down further you get an impression that it lowered significantly.

to give an example of the height, if i lay my arm on the console and extend m hand flat out, my index finger rests on the flat part of the knob, the flat ring up top.

I just read the description of the shift knob and the height adjustable feature off of the TWM website. It's a pretty good idea. The Type R knob that is coming soon from them looks good! I might have to pick one up when it comes out

also, i recommend you guys email them with any specific questions, i emailed them asking for a thousand measurements so that i can calculate if it will sit how i want, and kevin emailed me back. we actually exchanged a few emails before i bought it and one of them ended up on their customer testimonials page. they're extremely helpful.

What about weight reduction

heavy knob = smoother feel

I like it - I'd get the gun blue classic if I didn't just buy the ARC Ti
