2005 was the last year!
2006 = not an s2000, just some Honda conspiracy. My MY will be the last! I was told by a cousin of a friend whose brothers sister in laws father worked for Honda.

Whatever...
My cousins, sister's, uncle's, dead hamster once removed brother, the mouse said they were going to make S's forever and that there is a station wagon version on it's way w/ AWD and Mr. Fusion.
You guys are lame...
I looked in the library, although didn't find it... I may have not looked hard enough.
Thanks for the #'s.
Just had another member asking about production and I had not the slightest idea...
That complete year by year statement adds up to a grand total of 49760. That is small enough to make the S2000 stand out, but large enough to assure good supply of spare parts for many years to come. Prior experience with my '93 RX-7 twin turbo, of which less than 10,000 copies were ever produced, convinced me that extremely rare is a very bad thing.
1. I don't know what percentage of RX-7s met their demise at the hands of their owners, but I'd wager a good 8 - 10% of S2000s get killed. That's a total wild-ass-guess, but it feels right to me.
2. The RX-7 simply wasn't a bullet-proof car, mechanically speaking. That twin sequential turbo thing was a mess of plumbing, and let's not get started on the shortcomings of the Wankel ports... The S is a damn sight more reliable.
