Police officers are human, the yellow will catch their eye more than a subtle color.

Cop-bait color. This is my first 'bright' color car and I've noticed I get more attention from everyone, including cops.

If you're innocent, then you should be fine. I was once pulled over for something similar. There was a "black acura" that was reported speeding so I got pulled over (happened a few years ago). The officer checked my info and told me why I was pulled over and let me go, since I didn't do anything wrong anyways.

There was probably an incident involving a "yellow" sports car and that's why the cops needed some more info. But don't worry, you'll be fine. If it is really bothering that much, then you should try contacting the sheriff department.

Maybe the sheriff wanted to know what kind of car that neat yellow sports car was, so he radioed in to his buddy to check it out. You'll know I'm right if there is a new S2K in the county with a sheriff driving it.

i've never understood the "vibrant color sports cars draw more attention" theory. i've always heard this growing up and the first bright red sports car i owned (a 94 Pontiac Formula) i was sure i'd be pulled over every waking minute of every day. never happened! i've owned red formula's, red trans ams, a red vette and now a spa yellow s2000 and have only once had a run in with an officer and that was in a green jimmy because one had been reported stolen. if you draw attention you'll get it regardless of the color car you are driving.

i'd say legitimately the cop probably did get a report of a yellow car or sports car doing something stupid and thus you were inquired.

Rural Alabama sounds creepy! A Yellow Skittle convertable driving around those parts of the woods would automatically get you hung in Alabama! LOL *_* | 4 sure need some cop repelant or something.
Or are you just another criminal stealing S2000's (JK)
