Default Progressive.........a$$e$

Well some people know that I have gotten into an accident with my s2k. It's nothing major and the only thing replaced was the bumper cover from the rear. There was some body damage but nothing serious that any body shop couldn't handle.
I normally take my car if anything needs to be done to a local place in Medina when I lived there. But Progressive said try our new concerige servce. It will be done quicker, guaranteed for life that you own the car....blah ....blah...blah... So i decided why not. I want my car back ASAP.
So....after a month of them having the car, there's a problem. I went to pick up the car on Thursday and the car was four different colors of yellow. I have pictures of the car before the accident and the previous owners have sent me pictures. (Color comparison) I saw an yellow orange on the driver side of my door, a carnary yellow rear bumper, a green yellow on the front fender, and my passenger side which is spa yellow. Fun thing they told me was that when it came back from the paint shop they had to get their manager because the different colors. Then they called me telling to pick up my car it's done.
I go inside to pay my deductible and they told me about the parts replaced and everything. I go outside with the keys and what a monster my car was with the different colors. I was so upset and started to ask for the manager. They kindly replied sorry he's not here right now what's wrong? Obiviously a 4 different color car isn't bad in their eyes. Once I started talking about the colors they all agreed and will tell their manager to look into it when he gets back tomorrow.
Finally after a long weekend, because the manager didn't call me back on Friday, calls me up saying that after a PPG representive looked at the car, it has been in a prior repair and the color was incorrectly repainted with an yellow orange.
I've called the prievious owners to just check with them, and both have sent me pics that match mine.....no orange on the door.
Progressive had thus proceeded to tell me that they will charge me to paint the driver side door, rocker panel, and the hood because they are all mispainted. I told them not to touch anything because I'm not paying any more than my deductible. They wanted 400 dollars to just paint the door. Being pissed and missing my car badly, I thought I would just tell everyone how I felt about Progressive handling this claim and will switch to another insurance company once this is all done and over with.
Sorry about the story and my venting.

Zac

P.S. What insurance do you guys and ladies have and have been happy with?

First rule of car insurance is "don't use Progressive".

Second rule of car insurance is "don't use GEICO".

State Farm has been very good to me -- always let me bring a car to a dealer's shop.

This is one reason why I don't shop online for insurance.

AAA is the way to go.
