define "big HP gains" without the use of forced induction.

I would think I/H/E, test pipe, standalone ECU or a piggyback like an emanage paired with a good tune.

I know your not going to get huge HP gains unless you put a turbo but what i meant to say was HP gains.

Would you mind specifying some brands so i could go do some homework? also what is a I/H/E, test pipe & emanage?

Cheers.

check out the sponsor & group buy forum... they offer many intakes/headers/exhausts to fit your application

a test pipe is used in place of the cat to allow a more free flowing exhaust, but is not smog legal

Its a pipe. Unless you plan on keeping it and the car for five or six years it may not matter. There are, however, two types...resonating and non-resonating. Actually the non-resonating is just a pipe (with flanges hopefully). Search the site to get impressions of resonating vs. non-resonating.

Oh...one more thing. Don't buy one if a) you plan to get a header and/or exhaust as you might want something with a larger diameter than stock and will want the test pipe to match or b) your state or county tests for smog unless you want to swap it out for the cat every time you have to go test.

Here in Sydney Australia, ive never come across anyone doing smog testing!
only testing exhaust pipes that are loud by cops who want to defect cars.

Ive got a stock exhaust system i don't think id be putting a exhaust system on soon.
