Proper Replacement Key

I got this AP1 with 1 key (black) and a remote for the factory keyless (72147 S2A A01).
There are 5 part #s for S2000 keys:
35111 S2A 306 -157$
35114 S9A A01 -22$
35113 S9A A01 -28$
35113 S84 A02 -48$
35114 S84 A02 -42$
Obviously the 157$ one is the master key but can one of the cheaper keys be used as a master?

This is the part number I used as master

NP, btw im pretty sure the 157 key is exactly the same - except comes with a new immbilizer ID that needs to be programmed into the ECU.

The others are cloner keys - ie they rock a clone of your original keys immbilizer.

not saying this happens, but, you can technically get new keys with new immbilizer IDs, and remove the old ID's so if say a previous owner didn't give you all of the keys, it effectively disables the old keys out in rhe the world.

Ok now I understand the process, that makes perfect sense.
Do you know if it has to be a dealer to program the 35111 S2A 306 or can the tech next door with a snap-on scope do it?

Tech should be able to clone a key without the car

Honda has to program new immobilizer ids, and it requires the car.

:)

Can you pair a Honda keyfob to an aftermarket (Viper) alarm? I too only have one key and the car had Viper alarm installed... thank you all!

No. You can order viper fobs on their own though.

Ok thanks, do early 2000 AP1 have chipped keys? Or they're just traditional keys and any locksmith can copy a key for me?

Thanks!

All s2000 are immbilizer chipped. Honda dealership should only charge you the cost of the key($45). They put your key in a machine which powers the chip so the code can be copied to the new cut key
