I just got my MY2002 S 2000 two months ago, and i discovered the paint is really easy to get chipped, the major area is right behind the front wheel, where i got two big areas got chipped. Now I am wondering is there anyone want to develop a prototype of "small stone guard", which will place right behind the front wheel?
The width of the guard will slightly "stick out" from the side of the fender, and lenght doesnt have to be long.

for assumption, the "stick out" area can really protect the paint, since the areo dynamic of the side of the car goes like a hyp side of a triangle(correct me, if wrong).

I really want to develop by myself, but since i am in the final exam period, and i got limited money and sources, so i cant really develop by myself.

I am wondering is there anyone interest, at least that will protect the paint from the side, really sad to see this happen to my car, and touch-up the chips is not really a long term solution to protect the paint.

I have mine StonGarded (and patterned) all the way back to the tailpipes. I have found the area just ahead of the rear wheels gets chipped too. Send me an email and I will send some pictures.

I have the invinca shield behing the front wheels and behind the rear wheels as i went 18x8 and 18x10.5. The product is awesome and have no bubbles whatsoever. I took my time applying it though and it payed off. I also had to custom trim the piece behind the front wheels because the complex curves are beyond the elasticity of the product. Anyways I have only two stone chips on the entire car in 8000 miles. Both under the size of the tip of a ball point pen. This product is awesome and worth the cost.
Trust me these wheels and tires throw up a ton more rocks than the stock setup
