For break in, I recommend that you drop the car off at my house for a month.

Congratulations! I bought my 08 Chicane Silver with red leather at the beginning of May. Absolutely love it! I didn't even look at the CR. Between the ricer look and the lack of a soft top, it didn't appeal to me for a 100 lb weight savings and stiffer springs.

I've been daily driving it and the oil life indicator tripped a couple of weeks ago at 3,900 miles. I had the oil changed at the dealer last weekend at 4,100 miles and switched to Mobil1 10W30. Of course you'll find no shortage of opinions on the forum about when to change oil and what product to use. But I think it's sort of hard to screw up if the juice you put in is from a reputable brand and meets the service grade requirements.

Thanks for the info guys....

I am going to try to take pictures tonight when my girlfriend gets home, will post when I do. I have just been to busy cruising lately haha.

I have always been a fan of mobil 1 synthetic, I used to run it in my last car when I had the nitrous in and it worked great. I will probably put this in after a standard grad oil change for break-in purposes.

I finally bought one yesterday!!!! I was originally planning on getting a CR, but after looking at everything with taxes/fees it was just going to be a bit over budget....

I ended up purchasing a 08 Honda S2000 Laguna Blue!!!!!!!
How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

If you go by the manual, the break in time is 600 miles. During that time, I think the rule was you shouldn't hit VTEC. That's how I did it, at least.

LBP was my first choice until I thought about it more and realized I'd probably get sick of seeing it everyday. I loved the red interior and am not a big fan of black interior so my second choice became my first choice and I got GPW. I still think LBP's a nice color, though.

I'd follow the user manual recomendations. I'd say Honda knows more about the engines they design and build than the people on this forum.

Break-in recommendations are always super conservative, the factories have to cover their ass against idiots
