Default Proud owner of a Honda S-Type

I just found out I am the proud owner of a 2001 Honda S-Type!!!!
I was just notified by Ourisman Honda that I should bring it in for a 3750 mile service, and they even were courteous enough to schedule an appointment for me, without me even asking!!!!
Wow!!! No.1, I never knew I owned an S-Type!! No.2, isn't that great customer service that they even schedule appointments for you!!!!!
Just though about sharing my funny little moment.
Now, should I let it go and leave it at that? Or should I go over there, and poke a little fun at their mistake?!?!?!?

Maybe Honda hired someone from Jaguar to put together their mailing templates.

The S2000 IS an S-Type! It is the most recent iteration of the S-series of roadsters. The S360 was (probably?) the first car that Honda ever made back in the early sixties. This was followed by the S500, S600 and S800 before production ceased in the early seventies. Like our high-output 4 cylinder engine, the early series of motors had one of the highest specific outputs of any mass produced automobile engine for its time.

S360 - 356cc displacement, 33 HP (gross) at 9,000 RPM!
S500 - 492cc displacement, 40 HP (gross) at 8,000 RPM
S600 - 606cc displacement, 57 HP (gross) at 8,500 RPM
S800 - 791cc displacement, 70 HP (gross) at 8,000 RPM

If you think we need more torque in the S2000, the S800 boasted a whopping 49 lb-ft at 6,000 RPM, but that was in a very light car (1566 lbs). 0-60mph was an agonizing 13.4 seconds . My, how far Honda has gone.

These cars were never imported to the USA during their manufacturing run, but some have snuck over in the aftermarket.

That's your Saturday morning history lesson

I get the S-Type cards as well. They do not auto schedule me for appointments though.

Honda calls this car the S-type. I even have that on my insurance forms.
