Default Serpentine Belt Damaged ?

*SERPENTINE BELT*
Car has been sitting but went and popped the hood and the belt happen to be sitting in a position where I guess i could see an area Ive never seen before thy is damaged potentially. My question is this a real issue and if so how should I go about it.

10 minutes to replace including getting the wrench out of the cabinet and washing up afterwards.

Lots of threads on OEM belts vs standard auto shop belts.

Go OEM. Way, way better. Worth it.

That frayed oem belt is still better than any new aftermarket one. Either keep it if gauge on tensioner shows its still in range, or replace with oem.
