Question purchasing second s2k or e46 m3

Hey everyone, I have been deciding whether to purchase an ap2 or an e46 m3. I've had an ap1 for the past 3 years and i loved everything about the car, but recently my car tragically hydro locked 1 month ago and im now in the works of getting some extra cash through my insurance to buy a new car. Just for awareness, the insurance company is giving me an extra 7 thousand that i plan to use on my future car for some sweet mods, but I don't know whether to invest in an ap2 or m3. Please help!

You are really the only one who can make the decision. You've owned an S2000 so obviously know all about that ownership.
The M3 is an entirely different animal. If any advice, stay away from the auto.

Make sure you read up on the maintenance requirements on the m3. It is quite extensive and expensive. The s2k is relatively cheap.
in terms of driving experience they are so different I wouldn't compare them.

You better save the extra $7K for service if you get the M3. Great car, but expensive to own...
