Default Put 87 octane in yesterday.....

.....in my new beater that is, a 1986 Nissan shortbed P/U truck . Then I called the insurance people and added the truck and told them it was my daily driver, and my insurance went down by $100/6 months! WooHoo!!! I'm a double winner. So my advice is for everyone to get a second car and garage the S. It's cheaper, and you can use 87 octane!!

It is very nice to use regular gas again. This is the first car (pilot) I have ever had that doesn't require premium gas.

Unfortunately my beater is an Integra GS-R, so both my babies require premium. That's what I get for being a fan of high-performance, high-compression engines.

I have storage ins on the s during the winter. It's $100 for 6 months. Liability on the beater is $25 a month.

I put desiel in my S2000 once. Only about 1 gallon before I realized what I was doing. I mixed it with 93 and put engine cleaner in my car every week for 2 months. It's alright now, but I was scared for a second.

I hear ya, same insurance situation with me. $485 every six months (full coverage on the S (10,000 miles a year, insured as a "recreational vehicle") and the minimum coverage required by law for the Corsica (15,000 miles a year). Beats the $600 + I would pay for just the S as my primary car! (15,000 miles a year) I love Geico, plus I have the best of both worlds, a sexy fast convertible for nice days and a practical comfortable anonymous sedan for work, errands and when I need to carry more than one other person.

How did you guys work that situation out with your insurance company. I have full coverage on the beater plus the stook. When i asked them about insuring the stook as a recreational vehicle and or the secondary vehicle that they couldn't because the s2000 has more value than the celica and must be listed as the primary car??? Right now as is i'm 23 and paying approx 480 every six months
