Anyone know the average quarter mile time on a stock S2K? 00-03?

There are a million variables, a million threads, and a million mag articles on this. It can vary from 15+ down to 13.7 or so depending on traction, weather, and how much you abuse the car.

strike.... do you mean how much you abuse your car during that actual run? Or do you mean how much you abuse your car during other driving which could cause it to be less powerful?

yea, I agree, I have seen many s2ks do 15+ second quarter mile times, and many of them do low 14 sec passes. When I talked to them afterwards, the difference seemed to be the 15 second guys were launching at 3-4k rpms, and the low 14sec guys were launching at around 5500-6k

A better question is what was their trap speed. ET is highly dependent on the launch, especially in a car that is difficult to launch like the S2k.

I was always 93.5-94 mph, although ET ranged from 14.7 to 15.3. (MY '00)

i ran 14.3@100mph in my red 2000 S2000 (all stock) and 13.99@98mph (fairly cool evening in August at Maple Grove Raceway) in my 2001 Silver S2000.... (those were my bests)....

I did spin to an aweful 15.2 @ 97mph or something like that one time..... they said the track was sticky, so I popped it at 7500rpm and sat there for a while.

best i've seen for a stock s2000 is a 13.777, 13.8 is pretty normal. with a decent driver, you can pull off 14-14.2. (btw it also depends on altitude).
