On the rear bumper of the S2000's, there is that black little lip that is right above the exhaust... Can this little lip be taken off, because this is the reason that my friend wants to stay with dual exhaust, but if you can take that off, he said that he would be more willing to go with a single tip exhaust...

The part you are talking about is part of the OEM bumper, so you can't remove it.
