Default Question about OEM hardtop defrost harness

I bought a used hardtop + hardware from a MY07
My car is a MY05

When trying to connect the defrost wires, the plugs don't match. Do I have the wrong harness? jayhonda's PDF has 2 harnesses:

a 3pin and a 4pin harness

Harness from the hardtop i bought:

You're missing another harness that connects the the wires from behind the seats to the harness on the side catcher and the harness on the hardtop itself. #3 on the picture from that link.

I believe I have that harness

the hardtop came with 2 separate harnesses. The one that is located on the OEM hardtop itself

another harness we removed from his side panel. the harness that goes through the little hole. That harness plug is picture #1 in my post

Yea it should be that harness that goes through the hole, it should have a rubber cap to protect the plug from dust and stuff. I don't understand what it wouldn't work because on my hardtop that is how all 3 plugs are connected.

Not sure on the wires. I replaced the original strikers with the hardtopvones to get rid of squeaks and rattles. They are different enough in design and now I can ride in 100% silence over any terrain. I also used the shin etsu lube on all the seals and recommend doing both. The HT strikersmalso work with the soft top.

I also bofughy the harness that goes between the HT cord (like a phone wire all curly) and the car. It was around 35 from majestic and plugged into my 04 perfectly. One end goes to the HT (with the molded end), while the other two plu g into the harness behind the seat. If they are not fitting they may be an earlier year?

I bought my parts (new strikers and the harness) from Majestic Honda. www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

Put in your car info, and select the "Wire Harness (hardtop)" at the bottom of the drop-down list. You should get this image...

You need to buy #3 (honda part # 32204-S2A-010), which connects to the existing hardtop wire (#2) and the harness in the car.

Additionally, the instructions here explain it all in more detail... (STEP 6)

http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000/s2k2top.pdf

I also bought the strikers and the rubber boots that go on the softtop frame. Sure most say they are not required, but for a few dollars I'll gladly trust Honda over the internet

Buy qty 2 of # 62 (honda part # 86270-S2A-902) and 2 of #82 (honda part 86445-S2A-000) the rubber spacer.

did you keep this harness? I just got a used hardtop and found out that the harness I have must be for an AP1 or an older AP2. What you have listed matches the plug in my car.

Or if anyone has the harness for an 08 PM me please willing to trade my harness for the correct also if that helps out.
