Default Question about selling car...

Hello,

I have a Black/Black MY2002 S2000 that I just bought in April. I got moved out of town for the entire summer and I am thinking about selling it since I never get to drive anyway, and I have a few questions. I guess I'm hoping that some of you will have some experience with this.

1. How do I get the title back form Honda Finance if I'm selling to a private seller? Do I have to have the Buyers bank contact them or something at the time of the transaction?

2. Has anyone had any luck selling/buying their S2000 on Autotrader? Are there any other places that people have had good experiences selling their cars?

Thanks,

Preston

Yes, the financial institutions will settle the deal and handle the title. If you are selling without another lender involved you will have to contact the lien holder to get their requirements.

Whenever I have sold cars I just called my credit union and they sent the title in advance ready to be signed over. I am not sure how Honda credit does it but I would call them and ask for the title since you intend to sell the car. You might try E-bay as another place to sell the car. If it does not sell it does not cost you anything and you can set you minimum at anything you want.
