Default Question about tailight removal

whats involved with taking the tailights out? is it just opening the trunk and unscrewing the nuts holding the tailights in? I plan on switching my broken tailight out for a new one this morning... Thanks guys.

Well, after you remove enough fasteners so you can peel back the trunk liner.

hey thanks, know anything about rear bumper removal, I need to take it off and realign it , since it's off a little bit. this was all from a minor accident which I'm just fixing myself. Is there a thread containing the steps to take off the rear without breaking anything? Thanks again

There used to be a thread about converting from AP1 to AP2 rear bumper from "PAs2k" but I haven't been able to find it. Sorry.

There's this one, but the pictures are gone and the first link in the rear conversion is bad: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=200157

I think the dead link was the one by PAs2k. It had good pics and detailed explanations.

Make sure you take the gasket off of your old light and install it on the new one. The new ones don't come with gaskets and you will get water in the light without it.

I'm almost certain that you're right. That was a good write up too. I wonder what happened to it. Seems that the how-to's that are left are slowly losing their image links as people delete them off whatever server they're on. Too bad.
