Default question for hardtop owners

How much did you pay for the hardtop and installation? I am offered $3,000 for the hardtop installed, is that a good deal? (2,900 hardtop, 100 installation)

$3,000 is pretty legit this is exactly what i paid with the install not a penny more or a penny less, mine is a 2001 though i would think that if yours is a 2002 it should be somewhat cheaper don't take my word though, yes the hardtop has a headliner its very nice IMO its like a vinyl material very classy.

I kind of got ripped off. I paid $3300 for the hardop and $300 for install.
So $3600 total.

I paid $2810 for mine ($2510 hardtop, $300 installation). Ended up getting the $300 installation fee refunded, because they screwed up the adjustment on the latches and the defroster didn't work. FYI the dealers pay $2290 for the hardtop and then there's an installation kit that varies by model year. Also the installation calls for 5 hours so that fee will vary by hourly rate.

The cost seems to vary between dealers. Some will give you a good price on the hardtop; some on the hardtop and install. It's really easy enough for anyone to install. For a first timer, figure on up to 5 hours (which means you'll be very deliberate, and checking everything twice). For the second one, I doubt if it'll take more than 2-1/2 hours max. That goes for Honda mechanics too. If your mechanic has already done one, then calculate 2.5 x labor charge - and no more! If the mechanic has never done it, then either install it yourself or go to another dealer where they have done installs before.

Read the PDF instructions at HandA-Accesories.com. You can check out how easy it is. Also, HandA probably give the best price on the hardtop if you want to do it yourself.
