Default question for S2k owners

Hey everyone,
I've been on s2ki for quite some time now. I never had the chance to buy an s2k up until now. I'm looking at a 2001 silverstone with 60,000kms right now. My question, is there anything I should look out for when checking the car out? Any problems with the 2001s?

Thanks!

There is nothing "wrong" with any of them. Get a CarFax report. and inspect it carefully, just like any other used car.

Yeah get a carfax report I know its $20 but it is worth the investment. I just bought my S yester day in Yellow and I bought the Carfax report and inspected it. Very well built and a blast to drive!
If you have the VIN I think that my Carfax account is still active PM me if you want me to run it for you.

Check a few things:
- Vinyl top when closed: look for cracks or holes down both at the top rear corners, as well as the bottom where the top attaches to the body. The '00/'01 had a "rubbing" spot on the mechanism.

- See how badly the window is scratched or folded. The scratching might be fixable with plexus (which I highly recommend by the way). Many of us have a rear window mat that helps with this scratching.

- Tire tread - the S02s are expensive.

Those are just a few thoughts - good luck!
