Question: to those with roll cages
Well HOPEFULLY my Cusco 5-point will be in from Bulletproof very soon. I had a few questions (well maybe just one that's really important)
-When you installed it, was there any concern on hitting an ABS line when drilling through the floor? A friend of mine was talking to someone with the Spoon cage and he said he didn't even drill for the back legs of the cage because he was too afraid to hit the ABS lines. Is this true with the location of the rear legs on the Cusco cage? If anyone could provide me with any info, pics, whatever I'd appreciate it
If you could take pics of where your legs are mounted on the floor, that'd be great. If you need to, you can e-mail me at: Stud146@hotmail.com
Thanx alot,
Chris

I have installed 3 of the 5pt roll bars and havent had one problem drilling the back sections. Everything is a tight fit on the back sections but if you jack up the rear of the car you will get a better understanding of where the back legs are mounted before drilling.

If you need further assistance let me know! I have installed two of these cages with no issues Obviously you need to jack up the rear of the car and remove the rear wheels and I used a measuring tape and figured out where the ABS line went through before drilling from above - you need to remove the rear tray and I recomend the center console as well for added room to drill, Before mounting the backing plates apply a generous amount of silicone or caulk to seal the the holes and plates to prevent moisture from creeping through - this was just a precaution I took since you are drilling four holes per plate and don't forget your blue locktite in the red bottle
Oh yeah, I cut my rear tray to accomodate the rear bars but have since removed it because of bass rattle from my sub - so, I wouldn't even put the rear tray back in

Thanx for the advice. Can I get a pm from you with a phone number in case I run into trouble? I gotta drive an hour or so to go get it installed, an hour back home, and all this the night before HIN
Thanx again guys,
