Since I rarely, if ever, park with the top down and the windows UP, I'm wondering where would be the wisest place to put my seat lock stickers from Ricky. If I place them in the top corner of the window, I can raise the window just enough, when parked, so that the sticker is singularly visible (so as not to get lost among the others that everyone disregards) but if I put it on the bottom of the window, it pretty much requires me to raise the windows up when
the top is down and judging from all the top down pics I've seen here, apparently I'm not in the minority when it comes to a disdain for top down but windows up styling.
Sounds sort of stupid to even give it some thought with all that is going on in the world these days but hell, that's life.
Has everyone put 'em on the bottom of the window? I figure if the goal is to make the potential seat-stealer see the sticker, it's probably better to have it in that corner of the window all alone at eye level so it's not getting lost amongst all the other stickers on the bottom of the glass.
I guess it boils down to which location offers the best visibility?

 

I always park my car with the top up and the windows closed, so I put my stickers towards the bottom middle of the windows.

 

If your top is down I don't see why they really need to see the stickers. They'll just open the door and when they try to steal the seats they'll find the locks. The problem is when your top is up and they slash your top to try and steal your seats and then find out you have locks. The stickers are basically to try and save your top and that's not really a problem if it's down.

 

I agree with wickerbill. I have the stickers, and I put them in the lower corner of the window, next to the other stickers. They are to protect your top, not your seats.

 

If I might suggest....why not just change your parking habits [only slightly]... I like to leave the top down if I'm shooting into a shopping center, etc. as well. However, I'll send my windows up to full height (but leave the top down). In this manner, the windows up help reduce a "quick interior grab" should a vandal/thief wanna go for something (although I keep any valuables in trunk & the glove box locked).

Good point guys. Since I don't look down there very often, I forgot how quickly a thief would realize, "hey, these seats have locks dammit!" Then again, I'm back to wondering where would the sticker be of most use with the top up, near the top of the window or stuck down below with the rest of the stickers.

 

wow russ i think you will be the only sth FL membor with that sticker. no one down here bothered cause the theifs are so dumb they won't give two shits what the sticker says and will cut up your seats since they can't get them out.

 

I always park with top up,windows up to prevent theft and some a$$hole throwing something in my car. So I put my stickers on the bottom of the window close to the door handle area.
