I think the main reason is probably the fact that the 02' has a glass rear window.

"alot of people" ?

Well, I'm not sure that is accurate. It is probably fairly low as a %. I'll bet it would be a higher percentage of 00' than 01', just because it is time to get the itch for a new car like lvs2k suggested.

Just my $0.02

Another possibility is that many people these days think of their cars as "disposable" items to be traded-in every two or three years so that they may have the newest/shiniest vehicle possible.

This attitude is completely ridiculous to me; when I buy a car (and I don't lease because I like it to be MY car) I do it for the long haul. My '87 Integra went 10 years/150,000 miles before I traded it for my '97 GS-R, and I plan to keep my '97 for at least as long. My S2000 should be around longer because it sleeps in a garage most of the time and I try not to drive it in the rain if I can help it.

Environmentally speaking, it's better to maintain your car and keep it longer, but with the attitude typical of many people today with their "I can drive any gas-guzzling SUV I want" while saying "Let's kick a$$ in the Middle East" I guess it's silly of me to believe anyone thinks about the environment anymore.

The sermon is ended, go in peace.

Why trade in unless u have money to blow? I bought it in July and knew there were going to be improvements on '02 but decided to buy it cuz i couldn't wait any longer... well actually couldn't stand u guys talking about s2000 everyday and just mad me mad in my accord. Didn't u all know there would be glass window and the other improvements when u bought urs?(excluding the '00 and early '01 owners)? I would just get a hard top and a lot more goodies such as stereo upgrade, speakers and such instead of trading in. Just in my opinion...

P.S. I would love to trade mine in too if i had money...
