Questions about the Vortech SC....Please reply!
I really dunno, if I like the Vortech SC..
Last year I thought it would be a great idea to buy one, but last moment I changed my mind for 2 reasons:
- I thought it would be too heavy, and I would destroy the 50-50 balance,
- and, I didn't want to go Forced Ind. cause F20C is one of the best N/A motors.
But as far as I know, "Vorteched" S2000's are damn fast so I really can't decide.
So I would lie to reply me the following questions:
-How much does the S/C itself weights?
-Is it easy to install it myself? (I think I am "experienced" enough to install it myself)
-Does the car sounds different after Vortech SC?
-POST your supercharged s2000 videos/sound files! I know that you have some, so please post them, otherwise
Thanks!

I think you'll be looking at about 30-40 pounds added weight. The car isn't a perfect 50/50 weight ballance, you have more weight in the rear, it's actually more of a 49/51. (1,389 lbs front / 1,417 lbs rear (630 kg front/643 kg rear). So adding 30 pounds in the front will give you more of a 50/50 if that's what you're looking for.
The install is not that dificult (I did a Comptech myself) but you should read through the install instructions before purchasing (they are on the Vortech website) and judge for yourself if you think you are capable.
The car does sound different, a little louder if you're going from stock to the SC, a little quieter if you're going from CAI to SC with the exception of gear lash noise that you'll get from the SC.
I don't have any videos but there are a few links floating around on the site.
