Default Questions that need answering

ok so i have finally gotten into one of the few cars that hold the honor of being one of my "dream cars." I have some questions however about my used 02 azz magnet.

1. I already know that if i keep her around 4k at all times i should be ok with my fuel economy. Q: What kind of fuel economy gain should i expect from the most basic bolt-ons? since i commute around 60 miles round trip, gas $$$$ is important to me as i also pay tolls.

2. The car seems to be in great shape, but since it has 50k on the odo, I fear for the clutch. What are some good symptoms from this car? I have always had FWD cars, everything about this awesome machine is un-chartered territory for me.

3. I replaced the battery, but for some reason it doesnt seem to have that much juice when I start it. would better grounding help me in this situation or is it just the fact that the S uses a Civic battery?

4. Name that CF Front lip!

Thanks for any help. I have more Q's but am suddenly drawing a blank.

Pirellis x6000 in front and nangkon(sp) in rear...no clue who makes the rears, but so far only minimal slippage. I plan to outfit the car with better (matching) tires and slightly bigger wheels within the next 6 months.

[QUOTE=rosodigital,Jan 18 2006, 04:31 AM] ok so i have finally gotten into one of the few cars that hold the honor of being one of my "dream cars." I have some questions however about my used 02 azz magnet.

Defeats the purpose of owning the car imo.

2. The best clutch test (if you can't feel the slip) is to hop on the interstate with another S2000 that you know has a good clutch, put both cars in 4th gear side by side at 45 MPH and mash the gas pedal at the same time. If the other car pulls on you substantially it is certainly time to find out what is wrong with your car - start with the clutch. You can also use 5th and 6th gear for further testing.

3. Grounding could be a possibility, but not a big one. There are quite a few things that could play on this. Did you put a Honda battery back in? Does the S use a Civic battery
Ok....well i would like to start by giving the to Va Beach...i was born in Norfolk.

I guess i will have have to drive it a bit more to get use to the clutch. considering its a OEM clutch i suppose it feels ok, just a lot of nightmare stories about people killing a clutch in 10 or 20k mi. no worries i guess.

the car does use a battery the same size as the older civics. there isnt room for much else. and there really isnt a lot of demand from the car from what i can see, except to start.

thanks for your help.

I average 30mpg with all highway driving at ~75-85mph and I think I averaged in the area of 26-27mpg throughout last summer. That was probably 2/3 highway and 1/3 city. I do VTEC quite often so I'm hardly easy on it. I have Spugen exhaust and Comptech intake. I really doubt bolt-ons will effect gas mileage much, but if you drive exactly the same I'd bet you'd see small gains.

The S used the same size battery as the 99-00 Civic, but the poles are reversed.
