Default Questions on Rick's Aero Screen and Windblocker.....

I've been waiting(forever) for my MY04 Suzuka and have a few questions.

1. Has anyone used Ricks' new 7/8 aero screen. Does it make a big difference as far as wind buffeting?

2. Same as above for Major Havoc's headrest windblocker.

3. Does anyone have the new front license plate holder (from Rick's) and if so how does it look??

I want to buy something(s) for my S but can't spend alot of $$$
right now.

Thanks alot for any help or any other suggestions !!!

I never thought I'd say this but...IS IT EVER GOING TO STOP SNOWING????

Hey Jeff, I have the 7/8 aero screen. I like it. I put it on my car right after I bought it and I never drove my car with the windows up until it got cold out so I can't tell you if it makes a difference or not. It has to be better and looks good too. If you get it....be careful with the superglue!!! Congrats on the 04!!!

I have the 7/8 and the headrest blockers. The difference is definitely noticeable but not a dramatic change like what I'd hoped for. If you do get the 7/8, I'd recommend you put some kind of padding (thin rubber gasket, fabric, etc) between the acrylic and the plastic holders so the assembly won't squeak when driving. Also, you always have to make sure the screen is upright when lowering/raising your top and you have to lower the screen whenever you want to open the "secret compartment" otherwise you'd end up smashing the rear glass. Aesthetic-wise, they definitely look better than stock.

panic & SiDriver

Thanks for the info! I thought from Rick's literature that the 7/8 size did not need to be up for raising or lowering the top. Am I wrong on this??

Also, I know I'm going to sound dumb on this, but, I've seen the 'secret compartment' mentioned before, what exactly is it???

Thanks again.

The 'secret compartment' is an addition glove box between the roll hoops, ontop of the one every one sees. The Windscreen is mounted on the door of th 'secret compartment'

I hope that helps.

Yes, it needs to be up. I know because I've broken one lowering the top with it down. It does decrease the wind but not by much.

Nope, not Rick. I'm Jeff.

The plate holder looks good IMHO, that is my car on the web site. Did you want a pic from another angle?

OK, I believe hear is the diff - with the full size, in addition to having the screen upright when lowering/raising the top, you have to put your finger at the top of the screen when you tilt it back and forwards even when the top is up since it would scrape the rear glass. With the 7/8, you just need to make sure the screen is upright when you lower/raise the top but when the top is up, you can tilt back/forward the screen freely. I'd get the 7/8 for that reason - the wind protection diff between 7/8 and full is negligible I bet.
