Default quick about Test pipes

i know test pipes usually are the best BANG for your buck. but i'm not a fan of annoances. a lil noise here and their not a problem. especially if it sounds good.

so my question is. does a test pipe sound really bad? like riced out? i know it'll make it sound louder but just how loud and how annoying are we talking here?

There are about 3 topics on this very same question within the first few pages of the S2000 talk forum, no need to even search (imagine that). Your very question has been discussed at length and you could have saved yourself the wait for an answer.

Berk TP has the CEL fix built in. It's still illegal, but with stock exhaust it won't sound much different. Although, you won't see the same gains as with an aftermarket system either.

it depends on the exhaust you have. I have a J's 60rs and it made it sound better. It doesnt sound as muffled, and it sounds more race-like if that makes any sense. Also it cut down on the drone. I think its a great bang for the buck

If you're gunna just get a test pipe with OEM exhaust, be prepared for a really bad smell in traffic, and people will hate you when they're behind you
