I had some rust on the lip of one of my fenders and after I rolled it the paint cracked. It was the only one too. I'm not sure if I understand where yours is but mine was rusting right at the edge where it starts to bend into the lip.

I didn't think it would crack as bad as it did but even with a heat gun it was inevitable. The original crack/rust spot was about 4 inches long and now it's about 6 inches long with a few small verticle cracks showing. Im still working on my fenders but that fender is most likely going to need a repaint.

oh that was pretty big originally tho. I'd say mine is less than 1/2 inch. Still think itl crack? and I mean even if it doesnt and that part is now showing after I roll my fenders itl still look like shit.

It really shouldn't show anymore than it does now. It might crack a little but it might be fixable with minor efforts. Just make sure you use a heat gun to soften up the paint a little before rolling it and take your time.

I am willing to betthat S20000 lives in a snow belt state. When I lived in Massachusetts, I was used to seeing cars less than a decade old which were rustbuckets. That's the result of heavy Winter usage of salt. My S2000 has fortunately lived its nine year life in South Carolina. You see lots of 15 - 20 year old cars down here which still look non-corroded. Not much you can do about rust in New England and similar places, even though modern cars receive much better rustproofing than a couple of decades ago.
