QUICK! help please on jacking car..

Default QUICK! help please on jacking car..

well..i got a legit floor jack..slid it under the rear diff...(the round sturdy piece)...and after pumping the jack a bunch of times..im jst noticing the fender rise up alot...and im just curious if this huge gap is normal before the wheels finally begin lifting?thnks in advance
(btw,,trying to change wheels,)

Yea that is normal, the suspension is reaching full-travel.

We don't have a "live" axle. When you jack up the diff, it goes up and the wheels stay on the ground till the suspension reaches full travel.

Do them one side at a time. Jack up using the front side jack points. Probably no real need to use jack stands as long as you don't put any part of your body under the car.

Even if I use the car's scissor jack, I can remove and replace each wheel in 5-10 minutes.
