when I was very young, 7-8...my dad used to let me shift the gears in his supra from the passengers seat. It felt natural to me because I knew no other way to do so. I think that it wouldn't be that hard for me to make the switch over to rhd because of that experience.
You'd actually be surprised with how easy it is to shift a rhd car. I lived in Japan for almost 5 years and the very first day I was there I needed a ride to the medical building on base to check in and one of my buddies just gave me the keys to his car (toyota levin 5spd). I jumped right in and drove it like I'd been doing it all my life. I actual grew to prefer it since I could steer with my right hand and shift with my left. Oh yeah and I had a few run-ins with turning on the wipers when trying to signal and going to the wrong side of the road on turns sometimes once I moved back to the states. Thanks God it never hapened when there were other cars on the road, which is probably why I did it in the first place.
