So technically, does S2000 reline at 8900RPM or 9K?

Ann Job has an earlier review of the Stook. If you go to Carpoint and choose Research and pick Honda S2000, you will see her article there as well.

I don't know.. It red lines at 8900 but the rev limiter does not kick in until 91/9200... any one know the answer

Interesting that the SAE article written by the Honda engineers who designed the engine list the redline as 8,800 RPM. I guess Honda raised it after the article was published. This may be the source of some of the confusion with the press.

I'm pretty confused by all this redline talk too...isn't it where the rev limiter kicks in? If, for example, the redline is 8900 but the limiter kicks in at 9100, then techinically, aren't your overrevving?

In a few occasions when I overrevved, I noticed that the tach went over 9K before kicking it back to lower RPM range.
