Quote from S2000 book
was re-reading my Honda S2000 book I got a couple of years ago not long after I got my S and on one of the pages it has a quote from the CEO or president or whatever of Honda saying that the engine used in the S2000 is going to be the new type of engine to be used on all Honda cars by 2005. if anyone can find the quote maybe you can type it out here cause I left mine home that would be helpful. Anyways, I wonder if this ever materialized? Or did the development and success of hybrid-type engines post-date this? Im sure they were working on the hybrid engines long before that statement was made but then why would the guy say it?
Damn I wish I had that damn book so you guys know what I am talking about.

the EP3 only has the 200hp in the japanese Type-R rendition. The only K-series stateside that has that 200hp is the RSX type-S which has the K20A2. The EP3 we are given here in the states has the K20A3 which is only 160hp and is the same engine used in the base 5 speed RSX.
In japan the Civic Type R and Integra Type R (RSX Type-S) both have roughly 210-220hp. And the new 05 RSX type S with 210hp has the modified KSeries for 2005 which I believe is the K20Z? correct me on any mistakes but I think I hit the nail pretty solid =)

The new (MY 05) RSX Types is rated at 210 hp. The K seies is the immediate future for Honda performance engines. The supply of B series engines will soon be exhausted. There are already tons of K series swaps into EG's, EJ's, EK's and frankenstiens (K20 block and K20 head and every variation you can think of). Check out honda-tech.com.
the f20c and k series are very similar. the k series evolved from the f20c.
if you look at a f20c and k20a, you will see that they are very very similar in size and the location of everything. btw, there was also the earlier f20b, but that is so different it shouldn't even have the same F as the f20c!
