Check out the North Texas regional forum. Lots of information over there, including comparison torque/power graphs vs. speed (which I think can be used to determine/approximate acceleration times), etc. It might help with your decision.

I would love to test drive both, but none of the dealer cars have been broken in and I don't want to VTEC someones car before the break in period. If anyone in or around Las Vegas with an 03' or 04' would give me a spin I would appreciate it. Off topic.....I noticed in CAR Magazine (UK) that the S2000 is listed as having a 2.0i engine. Typically in that magazine when they list an i after the displacement, while discussing a Honda, they are suggesting that it has iVTEC. Did the UK get iVTEC rather than the 2.2 engine?

That was top gear 50-70 .. it makes sense that the new car would be quicker in that gear given the gearing changes and what not ..

I would rather have the 9k redline...unless of course the MY04 is quicker 0-60 even with similar power numbers.

Russ...this is not a personal attack, but one should purchase a car based on their particular enjoyment. I would would enjoy the MY that is quicker 0-60. Not to mention that on the autocross you don't experience high speeds and a car that is "quick" is more desirable than a car that is "fast". A drag car is FAST.

IMO, a person should pick a car for what they want and not what others tell them to want. I selected mine because of the styling, impressive feel and the rarity. The 9K RPM's and 120hp/liter was jusdt an added bonus. Now the MY04 owners have better styling (which I would love to geet on my Spa), and some even keep the 2L, unfortunately not in the US

It all comes down to personal preferance. Thats it.
