R.I.P RED MX5
My condolences to the family.
I lost my father last week to sudden and unexpected heart failure at 58 as well. These things are never easy, and words are hard to come by to express how one feels.
Red was a great guy, sarcastic and full of information. He will be deeply missed in this community.
His family will be in my prayers through this hard time.

My deepest sympathy to Marge and Abagail. We all feel a loss. Chuck was one of the most knowledgable members of the S2ki community. But more importantly, he was always eager to share that knowledge, along with a good bit of sage advice, with newer owners and those with less experience behind the wheel or under the hood.
You can tell a lot about a person by they way they behave in a forum like this. After all, you don't actually have to face very many of those you interact with. Chuck always kept his sense of proportion, his sense of humor, and his spirit of generosity. I'm sorry I never had the chance to meet him in person.

Wow, I was shocked reading the thread title and very saddened by the news.
Every post Chuck ever made was polite, informative, and helpful. Like others have said, that is a very rare thing on any online forum. His enthusiasm for the S and his words of wisdom will be greatly missed. I personally never got to know him, but any time I saw him posting in a thread I stopped to read it. He was an endless source of good information and he usually found a way to make a joke in there too.

I was EXTREMELY shocked when I saw this thread name. This is very saddening. I clearly remember all the help he gave me. Every dumb question I asked him, he would reply VERY thoroughly and thoughtfully in a nice long paragraph and never got impatient. Even though I've never met him, his character made me feel that he's a very close friend of mine.

That post should say it all. After reading this thread I checked through my PMs and re-read stuff sent about tires, the Air Force, etc. Very nice guy, very informative, friendly and knowledgable. Chuck definately will be missed.
