To R&T -- so where's the S2000?
I couldn't agree more.
When I opened the article and read that the S2000 was one of the cars considered but that it didn't make the list I was even more flabergasted.
Why include a car that's already sold out and not even available to the public anymore (Mazda MP3) and two cars that are rumored to be sold here next year (Lotus Elise and Mitsu Lancer Evo VII) and not the S?
I've not driven the MP3 but have no doubts about how well it handles. At this point, that's moot. You can't freaking buy a new one. THe same can be said for the Lotus and Mitsu. Moreover, speculation is that whatever versions of these cars we get they'll be significantly different from what's available overseas (the Lancer will be de-powered and the Elise will have a softer more "Americanized" suspension).
Normally, I'm a big fan of R&T but this edition left me cold.

When similar tests have been performed in UK magazines the elise usually comes out the clear winner, it is after all a go kart on wheels, saying that I dont think I could live with one, unreliable, unpracticle, spartan, etc.
