racing harness question

Default racing harness question

I saw some sparco racing harness on ebay
they have snap-in and bolt-in
what's different between snap-in and bolt-in?
which one is better and easy to install?

Snap-in have hooks that "snap" onto the attachment points/anchors, to make it easy to remove the belts. Bolt in are exactly that, and less convenient.

Owen,
Do NOT get a harness with out a rollbar.

PS..Cusco doesn't cut it.

I have racing harness's without a rollbar and they work just fine.............and I agree about the snap in anchors..........MUCH easier especially when you need to untangle them which happens occassionally.

If you roll in an accident, your spine will be compressed. Is that a good reason?

thats not the point.....


harnesses are to hold u in place.

in an event of an accident/roll over they hold u in place, with out a roll bar guess what your head does....

'if' I was ever involved in a rollover, I would still rather be in a racing harnes than the stock seat belt set-up. The side benefit is being VERY secure in your seat while taking the twisties
