Racing Headers

Ricks has a header that's supposed to be pretty nice and a d**n sight less expensive than 1k. www.ricks2k.com

ap1 is a name in japan, they call honda s2000, ap1. for example, nissan skyline r34 = bnr34, honda civic Si = ep3

Yeah but in 04 it became the AP2 when they made the face lift. So 00-03's are AP1's and 04-05's are AP2

ok so you are saying that you didn't realize the 04+ S2000s have different engines?

Not to mention a slightly strengthened chassis, different suspension settings and bumpsteer fix. AP1/AP2 refers to chassis codes. F20C and F22C are engine codes.

What is considered a "race" header? I think all of the design of headers in the market right now are pretty similar, just with different specs and piping sizes. The J's Racing header seems to be putting out the most power from what I've seen and had experiences with.

I know for the B and K series Honda engines, some people consider a header a "race" header when it extends to the b-pipe and totally replaces the catalytic converter as well, but that can be done by using an aftermarket straigthpipe as well.

A "racing" header is a header that says "Racing use only, not for road use". That means all of them except stock. It's a marketing term and means nothing.
