Has any one ever experienced problems with stones/debris damaging the radiator through the open mouth nose cone?wire mesh is the obvious solution but there does not seem to be any neat way of mounting it,any ideas?

 

I had a stick wedge itself into the grill once, but there was no damage. I just have the normal bugs and leafs which can be hosed out.

There are aftermarket mesh kits available. Do a search in Group Buys
