radio door question
yep. it can be a PITA the first time you do it, but it's not that difficult to do. here's a few things you need:
screwdriver (to pop off the radio door assembly)
electrical tape (to wrap your screwdriver as to not damage your interior trimming)
wire hanger (you'll use it to pop out the whoyaw's holding the radio door to the assembly)
wadded up rag (to put on the other side of your wire hanger so, when you push, you don't put a hole in your palm)
padded work bench (to work on perhaps?

I needed no tools to remove my radio door (done it many times when I was installing the stereo, etc.) Is the '04 door not a full assembly?
To remove the factory door, open the radio door and grab a firm grip on it. Then "tug" the bottom out first. Then carefully pry the top away from the dash. The vents come with the assembly.
