I saw a note for replaced left and right rail assembly and overlapped minor panel on a collision report. Can anybody identify these components for me? What exactly was replaced and done?

 

If they are talking about the frame rails that run along the underbody of the car towards the middle, then that is most likely it. And if it was invovled in an accident serious enough to damage those frame rails, than I would stay far away from the car.....very far....

 

Any other ideas on what it could possibly be?
