Default Rain again

Another weekend lost to rain. Do you think I'll get my S out of the garage before August?

Razor

I envy you. We are going to have rain until about 3:00 P.M. tomorrow and then high winds. No sun until Monday.

Mike

It gets tougher and tougher to live in New Jersey each year. With all of this rain I bet we'll still have a drought emergency by mid-August. Its a joke. In April and May we can't use our cars because of the rain, and in August and September we can't wash our cars because of the shortage of rain. Can't win.

Many years ago, Buckminster Fuller (I think that is how he spelled his name) proposed putting urban areas under domes in order to control the climate. I propose New Jersey for the experiment.

The weather so far this year is really bad. Not only is it raining so much but the temps are low. I think I had 2 firsts so far: 1) My pool has been open for a few weeks now with no hope in sight to use it (first time I can remember hitting June without going in) and 2) On Friday it was a beautiful day when I left work, put the top on and got caught on I-84 in a thunderstorm.

I use the bad weather weekends for maint. Last week painted the calipers and this weekend cleaned and treated the interior.

My answer to this onslaught by the weather gods has been to spit in their faces. Neb looks like hell right now, with clumped up dirt on the fenders and water spots on the inside of the windshield, but the alternative is not to drive -- and that's unacceptable

New tires and a slightly adjusted attitude about the "newness" of the car have helped me have a little more enjoyment in the sogginess. Unless it's actually pouring (which admittedly has been more frequent than I'd like), I'm having some fun with the top down and a hat on. Last week, I even put on clear work glasses. Am I too hard core? Trunks are for towels, right?

I still won't drive Neb in the winter.

Chazmo,

I was actually on 287 last week or so with the top down and saw the
clouds forming .... At first I thought I should pull over..... But then I remembered
that BMW Z4 commercial with the rain just going right over the car..... So I just
kept going... A few miles later... The rain started pouring down.... The rain just
went over the car.... I still got some minimal water that comes in from around the wind shield and such but it was soo cool !!!! People where staring at me like I was on crack !!!! But then traffic started to slow down and it was all over... not sure at what speed this happened but at a certain point the rain just came pouring in ..... I couldn't go any faster because of the traffic .... So I pulled over
and put the top up !!! In that short time I got soaked.... Came home and spent
a half hour in the garage drying off the interior !!!! It was fun though..... Just the looks on all those peoples faces as I drove by with my top down in the rain
it was fun..... By the way you should try driving in the snow..... I do... I bought snow tires and put some weight in the trunk .... And off you go with the snow tires on the car is amazingly !!! Pretty good in the snow.... And we had a bad winter this year so it was a great test.
