I went out to Cali last year to visit friendsand Mang!!! it was just so nice out there... I didn't want to come home.

I think you are right. Sometimes good weather is such a novelty that when it comes we really enjoy it. I've never lived in a California type climate but I imagine after a time you begin to take it for granted. In the Northeast we never take sunshine for granted. We don't see that much of it.

There have been flood warnings here for the last two or three days also. I still think we will have a drought emergency later this summer.
The problem here in Northern New Jersey and the Northeast in general is that the infrastructure (resevoirs, roads etc) was built a long, long time ago. No one ever imagined that the population would grow as it has. Worse yet, there is never enough money to update and renew it. Our capacities are less then we need. I imagine it is much the same in Virginia and most everywhere there has been population growth.

Glad to hear that the meet went well and rain free. Glad you had a good time. Must've been fun to get out there after all this gloomy weather.
The work week starts tomorrow so I expect to see great weather.

but hopefully it will be nice for the bbq meet this Saturday... R U coming ???
