Unhappy RAMP conctruction... need input!

the entrance section of my drive way is 6 feet long and steeply inclines to about 8 inches high... we cant modify the pedestrian walkway due to our 'community' restrictions (total bs) and from the pavement to this 6feet by 8 inch incline is another drop... its a killer on the car... i'll get pics when possible... but do u guys know where they sell ramps or whatnot to help me w/ this whole mess... i need help i dont want to park my new car outside... it feel bad and sad for my lil baby... im sure most of you know what i mean... so any input is greatly appreciated!

I'm not aware of any 'ramps'. My neighbor uses a couple of 2x4's to get the nose up.

Have you attempted to 'pull-in' on an angle? I scrape when I pull directly in but if I approach on an angle, no problem.

buy a lift kit

Okay, but seriously, you're probably going to fabricate something outta 2x4's as mentioned...

Try to make as percise of measurements as possible, to reduce chance of trial and ERROR w/ the car .... ouchie...

Have you mentioned this problem to the association board? Maybe by telling them that you cannot get your car up without scratching the bumper.....

you might be able to set up a deal with them to where they can approve of a plan that will allow you to get your car into your garage. Sometimes the associations will bend the rules a bit if you are courteous to them. Also, they may draw up a plan and supervise the construction of a new curb-lip if you pay for it...

Just try all options out there, it is no fun having to move temporary ramps back and forth, and there is obviously a problem if you cannot get your car up over the lip without running into problems. : /

also, does your HA even allow for vehicles to be parked on the street? If not, they will have to do something to allow your vehicle to get into your garage or driveway.

And a question I should have asked off hand: Is you car modified in any way? as in being lowered? Just wondering because they would have reason to deny you any alterations if your car is not stock height and you are unable to get into your garage without possible damaging your car...
