Ran the 1/4 this weekend....
This weekend I finally made it out to our "late night drags" at our local race track (PIR). I had no idea what to expect. My best run with my car completely stock was 14.4 
( I also didn't know how to drive it then). So on saturday night I went out and made 2 runs. My first run I ran a 16.2 @ 104mph 
. I dropped at 5000 and my clutch slipped through first...then second....then third it finally got traction, so then I down shifted to second and went . It was embarising needless to say. So my second run I was worried about my clutch I didn't launch at all (like 1500 or so). I ran a 13.12 @ 111.96 with a 60' time of 2.34. I was very impressed with this time (especiall with the weak 60' time). my clutch was slipping from about 8200-9000. When I shifted from 2nd to 3rd my rear end came out and started to slide right, then I got traction again and it jerked back around. It scared the hell out of me 
. The reason for this thread is because of all the stories about supercharged s2000's running hardly any faster than stock ones. Well this proves that is 
. My only other mods include a spugen single exhaust and my 18" racing harts. If I can get my scaner to cooperate with me I will scan them in (we just switched to xp...anyone know how to make it work??).

. Its the vortech kit 
. Honestly I think I could have hit 13 flat or 12.9 that night if I would have launched a little bit. Tire traction was not an issue (New 245/35/18 pirreli's), but clutch traction was an issue. I am really confident that I could have broken into the 12's, but I was just scared cuz my local dealership said they would not do the clutch tsb for me if they see excess wear on the clutch when they take it out.

Everyone is telling me to go w/ a street disk, not a puck disk....but I am debating that....maybe a 6 puck??
