Default Rate my ding!

My poor baby got a nice scrape down the side today in a parking lot. Just wondering how much a repair is gonna set me back If you've got any experience with repairs I'd appreciate your input, thanks. Wish my baby the best. I took the best pics I could manage. There's definitely a nice indentation along the door and rear quarter panel, along with some paint loss.

Bastards! Something happened like that to me about 5 months ago. Took a quarter sized chunk of paint of my front bumper and some nice scratches on my front fender too.

No idea on the price tho, but it looks expensive.

I would estimate between 500 and 750 bucks, closer to 750. That is for dent removal, prep, paint blending, and reclearing of the rear quarter/door. I could be overestimating though, but I doubt it.

Thanks, I was thinking something around $500, but I honestly have no clue. Keep the opinions coming!

I was thinking more like $1000.

That's two body panels and the rear quarter is welded on.

In florida, I'd say around $1,200 if you took it to a local Honda dealer. I wish you the best of lucks.

Jason.

Had the exact same thing happen to my baby. Girl pulled out and cut it too hard, scraping her front bumper allllll along my door/rear fender. Ended up being ~$1000 for all the work. Sucks man, I'm sorry.

My co-worker just got this same damage repaired at a top notch shop. Oddly enough, his car was silverstone also.

To do the work properly, you need to reskin the door, massage the dent out of the quarter panel (Quarter panel is welded on unlike front fenders) paint door, blend other panels.

Total cost: ~$2,000.

Insurance took care of it. Car looks brand new

Not cheap. A bare minimum of $1000, likely more like $1500. $2000 wouldn't surprise me too much at a good shop. You just happened to get whacked in about the worst possible spot.

Claim it against your comprehensive insurance. I can surely assume you have comprehensive on a soft-topped sports car...
