My s2k is now about 14 mos old, and over the last 2-3 months the rattles from the top well (especially on the passenger side) have gotten increasingly loud and annoying. The rest of the car is tight. Any thoughts? When I took it to Burlingame Honda for the seat belt recall they claimed to have tightened everything they could, but it didn't improve the situation at all.

 

Check the spare to see if it is tight.

 

It might be your latches for the top...I lined my latches will some strips of foam like material. It has all eliminated all of the rattles from the latches

 

Is the tang on the passenger seat belt up high enough where it doesn't bang on the door? There's been many a time that a passenger has left the belt in that position upon exiting the vehicle. The latch rattle is another possibility. Mine has developed this in just the past couple of months (13 mo./13K mi.)

if you want to fix the top latches and other rattles I have become an expert. Mines 13 months old now. You need to get shinitsu grease and also some foam, tape and a set of tools.
