Default Rattling!!!

Hello all,

I need a little help. I am experiencing quite a bit of rattling coming from the passenger side of my car around the seat or top whenever I traverse anything less than perfectly smooth pavement. I know it's not the seatbelt buckle rattling against the side of the car because I've driven around with the belt buckled, and I can still hear the rattling. Is this a common problem? I'm reluctant to take my car to the dealer to have them try their hand at it because I feel that, more often than not, they will only succeed at making the problem bigger. So, any thoughts?

Thanks for the help.

Could it be your roof latches? Check this out: https://www.s2ki.com/library/service/TSB.pdf

It could be the roof latches of like my car the passenger seat which is all the way back because of my tall wife, the seat itself rattles against the back wall of the passenger compartment. It is worse when no one is in teh car because there is no tension on the seat.
To fix, slightly move seat forward a few clicks when no one is in it. hope this helps.

It's probably the seat belt buckle. I keep mine latched on even when there is no one in the passenger seat.

When I don't have a passenger in my passenger seat, the seat itself rattles. You might be hearing this noise.

I've got it too. Its not the seat belt. Can't figure it out yet.

Yes, I found that if the passenger seat is all the way back, it will tend to rattle if no one is sitting in it. I usually pull it forward a few inches and that gets rid of the problem almost completely.

It's your latches! Here is an easy test: reach over and tap on the SIDES - the platic part - of the latch. Do your hear that familiar - click, click? I do... I am contemplating taking a dot of super glue to it.

I have a rattle somewhere in my dash...sounds like the passenger side but haven't been able to pin point its exact location. Found the best solution is to drive faster with the top down and I don't hear it.
