Rattling convertible top
Anyone who didn't have warranty fix their convertible top rattle? How much it cost you?
Mine rattles when the top is up and its getting louder. I can pinpoint the noise is coming from above the passenger side window. The seats or seatbelts aren't making the noise that's for sure. Thanks in advance.

Hi !
I've a 05 s2k with 7k miles on it and have the same rattle noise, sounds like metal to metal rattle from the front side catcher. That noise is just driving me crazy.
I just cut a 12mm square double side tape and tape it in the cavity on the windshield side where the alignment pins sits.
This will dampen and eliminate any metal to metal noise and wear.
No more noise at all now. Even really rough roads.
Hope this helps.

Try Link out first and if that dosen't work see second sugguestion... (5SAY307 link above will most likely work for you since your car is still fairly new)
AMER:
Other possiblity your Strikers are getting worn and need to be replaced. If that doesnt work, slip some rubber tubing on the top latch hooks. This will tighten down the latches, if this works it means your strikers are wearing and will need to be relpaced soon.....
